A luxury sedan is supposed to be more than just a pretty face and well-appointed interior. It should also come with a powerful engine that delivers an astonishing performance. In a battle for racetrack supremacy, can the 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio beat the 2020 Lexus IS?

Housing a potent 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 engine made entirely out of aluminum, the Quadrifoglio delivers 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and RWD, it can hit a top speed of 307 kph (191 mph); and, when taking advantage of its exclusive  Race Mode, it transforms into a supercar – earning a zero to 100 kph acceleration of 4.3 seconds.

Comparatively, the 2020 Lexus IS 350 uses a 3.5-liter V6 motor that generates 311 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Fitted with a 6-speed automatic and RWD, it has a maximum limit of 230 kph (133 mph). As for the zero to 100 rating, it was able to complete it in a sluggish 6.1 seconds.
