Origin of the Quadrifoglio Emblem

The Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio emblem is a symbol associated with Italian engineering and sporty performance, and has long been associated with the vehicle manufacturer’s high-performance models. While featured prominently on Alfa Romeo’s racing vehicles, the badge is also featured on many of the brand’s high-power road vehicles.

The Quadrifoglio emblem was first used in 1923 at the Targa Florio, one of the oldest and most prestigious races in the world. Driver Ugo Sivocci won the race with the four-leaf clover badge displayed on his Alfa Romeo vehicle, a symbol of good luck and fortune. Since then, the Quadrifoglio emblem has remained a celebrated symbol of Alfa Romeo’s impressive vehicle engineering and performance.
